I'm always asking readers and designers for Up2Scrap to bare their souls in their layouts so thought that I would take the time to share a recent personal highlight in my life. So here goes...
Duncan and Steph recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. On a par with their usual form as a couple, romantic arrangements were left to the very last moment with Steph putting together this card for Duncan see above, half an hour before midnight after just completing a Paris inspired layout for the next issue of Up2Scrap.
But at least Duncan woke up to a card. Where was Steph's? Poor Duncan laboured by giving her breakfast in bed, flowers, met her for lunch but the romantic card is the thing in the Milne/McKay house hold...
Duncan had meant to sort something out earlier in the week but someone pranged his car which drove all romantic thoughts out of his head! So he sneaked into Steph's craft room on the day, and helped himself to some of her favourite patterned paper, made some quick cards and hid them around the house.
Steph being engrossed in magazine production didn't find her first love note until late at night, cunningly planted by her cleanser in the bath room and reading...

Well Steph went to bed happy but was half asleep when she discovered another card under her pillow...
"Time passes year by year

By this time Duncan was peacefully asleep and Steph was a tad blown away by her husband's romantic soul, so she drifted off into a lovely dream only to wake up in the morning and on opening her work bag, finding yet another card (message too personal to share!) selected from the Sassafrass Lass "Felicity" collection.
Maybe a romantic layout in the making to be shared with you by Steph at some stage?
