March Classes

Our popular layout classes continue into March, as well as another visit from the scrapbooking fairy, lots of new, gorgeous product on it's way!

Less is more
March 11th 7-9pm
Create a simple, but highly effective layout using a central image... But wait there's more, you'll be using this sketch and creating three layouts in one night! You won't even break a sweat, we promise! These pages will be perfect alone, or continue onto a second page with additional photos. Product will all be supplied. This class is suited to a wide range of abilities, whether you're a true beginner or a more experienced scrapbooker who likes getting things done!

You're a star!
March 18th 7-9pm
Using new SassafrasLass papers create a double page layout celebrating a star in your life. This special achiever could be your child, yourself or even a friend - lots of potential to get you inspired. This class will also have a $5 Add-on pack (full of gorgeous embellishments to compliment your pages).

Life Journey Sneak Peek

Here's a sneak peek of the mini album to be created in Rose McKenzie's class this Saturday morning (16th February 10am-12.30pm). We still have a couple of spaces free, would be so great to see you there!

If you have already booked, could you please bring your basic craft kit (most importantly is a good craft knife and cutting mat) as well as your own choice of rub-ons and embellishments for that finishing touch. Photos to bring: a selection of 6x4" photos linked by a theme, that you are able to crop, etc. You can always add more photos once the basic album is put together. The class and kit is only $45 and is fantastic value - papers, ribbons, chipboard, what more could you want?! Email rose@up2scrap.co.nz to confirm your place.

Tuesday 12th Feb Layout Class

This Tuesday's class will be building on from the last session, incorporating  multiple photos on a single page layout. This class is almost sold out so if you wish to book please contact Rose asap for more information.

Materials to bring include your basic class kit (see sidebar) and it is vital that you bring along a good metal ruler, craft knife, pencil and cutting mat. Photos to bring this week are a range of 6 x 4" photos (@ least 6, including a couple you can crop) with a similar theme. See below for colour/paper choices including a sprinkling of love ;) well, Queen & Co Felt Fusion... It's a loveable product!

Mini Album Class 16th February

Combine your choice of papers and chipboard pieces from the Cherry Arte "Morocco" range with layout and embellishment ideas from Rose McKenzie to create your own storybook album. Based on the theme "Life Journey" this design can be adapted for any occasion to create a lovely flip album.

This project is suitable for a range of crafting abilities... Bookings are now open, see left sidebar for booking info. Hurry places are filling fast!

Sneak Peek

A sneak peek of one of the layouts to be completed in this Tuesday's class, please see below for colour options

Bring along your basic kit, plus any circle/square punches and a corner rounder, we will have some to borrow if you get stuck. Bring along pieces of cardstock and discover creative ways to use up your scraps!
Photographs to bring: One 5 x 7" photo and a range of smaller photos you would be happy to crop. These can be colour or b/w.

Class Lists Feb 2008

Mini Album ~ Saturday 16th of February, 10am - 12.30pm

Join Rose McKenzie (experienced tutor and Up2Scrap Elite Team member) to create a mini album that celebrates your life journey (or significant other, etc). We will have a pic up very soon, and materials lists, etc... Bookings are limited so call us today! $45 for the class (includes album, papers, embellishments, etc).

Layout Classes ~ Tuesday 5th & 12th of February, 7 - 9pm

Join Up2Scrap Editor Steph Milne to create a layout using multiple photos on a single page. The first class is suitable for beginners to medium crafters. We have two colour ways available please specify when booking your place

The second class is suitable for medium to advanced crafters (however if you attend the first class, you will be well prepared!) Pic of colour ways to be posted sooner to the time.
$40 for a casual class, or $35 per class if you book and pay for both.

Christmas Scrapbook Class ~ 20th November

Join Up2Scrap Editor Steph Milne this Tuesday, 20th of November 7-9pm. $40 pp per class...

We'll be creating a layout with gorgeous Sassafras Lass 'Life is Beautiful' papers, Luxe Rub-Ons and a sprinkle of inspiration ;) Simply bring along a B/W 5 x 7" portrait photo, of yourself and someone you love, preferably at Christmas. 

All you need to bring is a basic scrapbooking kit (with the option of bringing along a white Souffle or black Glaze pen)... too easy! Join us for a really fun class, come and be creative! Simply email rose@up2scrap.co.nz to book your spot.

Christmas Scrapbook Class ~ 6th November

Join Up2Scrap Editor Steph Milne for a 2 class series beginning this Tuesday, 6th of November 7-9pm. $40 pp per class...

We'll be creating a gorgeous layout with all those Christmas photos that you haven't go around to scrapping ;) Simply bring along a 5 x 7" portrait photo (or two if you wish to complete a double page layout) that celebrates the Christmas spirit. We'll be working with papers from the latest Basic Grey range creating a contemporary festive style layout...

As well as a basic scrapbooking kit you will need to bring along a black Glaze pen (or similar) and a red felt pen (such as a tombow). We supply all other materials (papers, stamps, inks, embellishments and plenty more surprises!) Our classes cater for all papercrafting abilities, so don't be shy - we'd love you to join us! Christmas Scrapbook Classes

Tuesday November 6th & 20th, 7-9pm

Christmas scrapbooking evenings designed just for you to come, relax and be inspired to complete layouts using last years Christmas photos.

The ideal time to 'catch up' and design those pages that you didn't get a chance to work on, before you take a whole lot more for this Christmas! You can work from Steph's designed layouts using the latest Sassafras Lass and Queen & Co felts, etc. Truly yummy and to be complemented with Christmas nibbles. Your chance to unwind before Christmas descends on you! $45 pp or $40 if both nights are booked at the same time.

Christmas Workshops

Fantastic inspiration to kick-start your creativity for the festive season!

Saturday October 20th 10.30am-12.30pm
Create two unique cards plus a matching Christmas cracker with tag to hold a special gift and using a real traditional 'banger' to make an impact on the recipient! Product used will be the new Cherry Christmas range from Scrapbook Australia including latest wood embellishments. We also have some creative ideas on how to quickly use 'scrap' patterned papers to dress up envelopes to support your card designs.

Santa is coming early to Up2Scrap and will be dropping off a new range of shop goodies! Yummy samples for you to try!

Saturday October 27th 10.30am-12.30pm
Create a large card, matching envelope and packaging using the cool new Cherry Arte papers (perfect for friends or family) rub-ons and matching chipboard embellishments. Also, dress up a mini gift template with SEI papers plus a matching tag. You will be more than ready for Christmas gift giving!

Classes are $35 pp per class. We are also getting into the gift giving mood with vouchers for you! Simply bring along a friend who is new to our classes and you receive a $10 voucher to spend in our Up2Scrap shop! Ho-ho-ho!
