“KISS” - Keep it Simple Sunshine! - mass production of invite/name cards and party favour bags.

• Saturday, August 1st, 11am to 1pm

• $40pp (bookings essential)

Creating attractive invitations/accessories for a large number of party guests can be very time consuming! In this class, Steph will demo a number of simple ‘mass-production’ techniques where you can complete multiple items that look both professional and gorgeous.  Perfect class for brides-to-be, mum’s prepping for kid’s parties and more. Basic craft kit required but no photos. Choose cardstock and papers (from Francheville, Rasberry or KaiserCraft range) to suit your theme, plus 2m each of two contrasting ribbons.  Extra bling and stamps will be available also at the class. We expect you to complete 3 items in class plus work on reproductions of same.

“Pizza Crop” - a great time to finish any UFOs!

• Friday, August 7th - 6.30 to 10pm

• $18pp (bookings essential including selection of your pizza half from the gourmet pizza menu!)

Enjoy cropping alongside a group of women who love papercrafting.  Steph Milne will be present to inspire and help you finish any previous class projects!

“All that glitters” - cards with Martha! and tutor, Steph Milne

Use glitter and stamps to create a simple card trio using latest products from Martha Stewart.  No photos required - class suitable for beginners as well as more experienced card makers.


“Give my regards to Paris” - a vintage paper doll layout celebrating a real or imaginary visit to Paris!

•  Thursday, August 18th - 7 to 9pm (note date change)

• $35pp (bookings essential) + additional $5 for a whole pack of the matching rub-ons (while stocks last)

Work with Steph’s 1950’s corset and photos of Paris to create a ‘glamour girl’ for a single page layout featuring the “Madeline” range from K&Co.  You will need a head shot in colour or black in white to blend into a supplied ‘body’ for your heroine of either yourself, a friend, or family member.

It’s Spring!” with Heather Bailey and “Freshcuts” from Autumn Leaves*

A contempory ‘spring’ inspired layout that will suit a 7” x 5” colour photo plus a couple of small pics if desired. Just revel in the bright colour of this range which will help you start to shake off the winter blues.
*This layout will be the first of a class series titled “Four Seasons in One Day” which will take place Sept/Oct. Also coming up in early September, “My Family & Other Animals” - a pet themed layout using latest glitter Pet Stacks from Die Cuts with a View.

New inky fingers Challenge

This month's challenge has run a little late but you've still got plenty of time to get inking! Supplied with some gorgeous Adirondack inks and blending solution from SANZI, I got to work creating this layout:

Unfortunately the lighting wasn't the best for the photo so you'll have to forgive me the winter weather. This layout was created on a 12" x 12" transparency. I first arranged directly onto the transparency a Heidi Swapp mask of the leaves, and then using the latte ink with some copper mixative and an ink blending tool I worked it around the mask and edges of the transparency until I was happy with the depth of colour. The copper gives it a beautiful sheen while the latte adds a gorgeous vintage look. I added a little blending solution to the blending tool to allow me some time to move the ink around, and dilute it in places where it was too solid a colour. You can add the blending solution directly onto the transparency or onto the blending tool itself. If your colour gets too light, just add a little more ink! It's really easy and takes only seconds to dry. I wanted to add a real 'stained' look to the inking so just dropped a few small drops of blending solution directly onto the transparency and it gives a wonderful water-stained look.

I stamped the leaves using brown Staz-on ink onto another transparency and waited for it to dry. When it was completely dry I used the ink blending tool and some more of the copper to add a light coppery sheen to the backs of the leaves before cutting them out.

Finally I added a page from an old children's book, a heading, some embellishments and to finish it off I wrote a small amount of journalling onto a piece of co-ordinating cardstock that was then placed below the transparency and attached. The effect is vintage with a gorgeous copper sheen and is so easy to do and can achieve a much softer effect than using any other inks.

So your challenge this month is to get inking! I'd love to see some inked transparencies using the technique above but any page you create with an inked and/or masked background and based on the sketch below is eligible to enter.

This month's awesome prize is 2 x triple packs of Adirondack inks, some Blending solution plus a pack of gloss paper for you to experiment with all from SANZI. Work with latest release produce from We R Memory Keepers on royal-styled single page layout! This will suit a large portrait (tall) colour photography of someone you have ‘put on a pedestal’ or alternatively a fantasy self-portrait - after all dreams a free!

We expect you to complete all three items in class plus work on reproductions of same.
